Land Use Committee Meeting

6:00 – 6:04 PM: Introductions.

6:05 PM: Update on 1144 and 1204 Tenino.  Since our meeting in January, the developer has hit a snag with the City which will not allow driveways in front of the buildings because they are attached duplexes, not attached single-family homes.

6:05 – 6:30 PM: Comprehensive Plan Map Refinement Project. The Planning and Sustainability Commission and the Project have proposed to change the future zoning for properties along 18th and 19th and north of Insley from R2.5 to R1d due to ongoing development there.  The present zoning is RHd.  Southeast District Liaison Marty Stockton will discuss the proposed changes.  The Committee will recommend comments for the SMILE Board to consider submitting.

6:30 – 7:15 PM: Better Housing by Design (Multi-dwelling zones) discussion Draft Report. The Committee will discuss the proposed rule changes for these zones that limit the size of buildings and allow more density.  More information is athttps://www.portlandoregon.gov/bps/71903. The Committee will recommend testimony for the SMILE Board to consider submitting.
