SMILE Elections – How about YOU?

SMILE Board elections are coming up on May 1st.  We’ll vote on four officer positions (one year terms) and four Board positions (two year terms).  Most likely several incumbents will run again but at least two current board members are stepping down.  Board members attend two meetings each month.  Many also take on other duties, too so time commitments vary.

To be eligible to serve you must live, work or own property in the SMILE-Moreland neighborhood — that’s it!   Interested but unsure?  Contact Kevin Palmer, SMILE Board member and Election Committee Chair at kevin@convertiv.com for the inside scoop.  Or just show up at the meeting and throw your hat in the ring.  Each candidate is allotted a few minutes for a quick introduction and then the voting takes place. Results are announced at the end of the meeting.

Whether you decide to run or not, come to the meeting and VOTE!  Long-term residents, newly arrived residents, business owners, renters — you can have a voice in the future of our beloved neighborhood!  See you at the SMILE Station.
